The first flying wing designed by Mitchell was an ultralight aircraft. A power unit was put on this and it was generally known as the Mitchell Wing Ultralight.
The next aircraft was the Mitchell Wing U-2, a flying wing with an enclosed pod so that the pilot could see over the top of the wing.
The next aircraft was the Mitchell Wing B-10, which used a more sophisticated wing with winglets and there was an open pod under the aircraft in which the pilot sat. Later on a pod became available to enclose the B-10. The primary difference in appearance between this aircraft and the U-2 is that the U-2's double canopy is over the top of the wing where the B-10's cockpit is suspended from underneath the wing.
Later on a version of the B-10 known as the A-10 was constructed all of aluminum. Earlier wings had wood wings.
Final development of the Mitchell winged aircraft was the T-10, a two place training version.

Although he was not active in the commercial development of the wing, the designer was Donald Mitchell, P. O. Box 1021, Mariposa, CA 95338-1021. The designer died in 1995 of natural causes.
